CORAL REEF DIVES
Coral reef diving is a favorite for many scuba divers and it’s no wonder, with their abundant marine life, diverse corals and warm water, many divers make coral reefs the primary focus of their diving. Whether the reefs are deep or shallow, there is always something new to find. There are fantastic reef diving opportunities throughout Florida and the Caribbean. In fact, the 125-mile Florida Keys island chain is home to the continental United States & only living-coral barrier reef. RIVER & LAKE DIVING
When most people think of scuba diving, they immediately envision saltwater. However, some divers prefer freshwater diving over saltwater for a variety of reasons. First, buoyancy is different without salt in the water, with its lower density, you will require less weight. The temperature is different too. Here in Florida, most of our rivers and springs are fed by underground springs and remain a cool seventy-two degrees year-round. And usually, freshwater currents are mild and predictable, and you see completely different marine life. Let us arrange a freshwater dive experience you. SCALLOPING (IN SEASON)
Scalloping is like an underwater Easter egg hunt in snorkeling gear with mesh bags instead of baskets. Florida is the only state along the Gulf of Mexico that allows the recreational harvesting of bay scallops for a limited time each year. Sweet bay scallops are usually found hiding the seagrass in relatively shallow waters in the Gulf of Mexico, and during scallop season they’re yours to find.
